Aldar announces Abu Dhabi's first wellness coastal island with over 6,000 homes and advanced sustainable design
Abu Dhabi is set to transform its coastal real estate offering with the launch of Fahid Island, a Dh40-billion masterplanned development by Aldar. Spanning 2.7 million square metres, the island aims to become the regionโs first wellness-focused coastal destination.
Fahid Island is positioned between Yas and Saadiyat Islands, offering quick access to major cultural, leisure, and aviation hubs, including Zayed International Airport, all within 15 minutes.
The initial release, Fahid Beach Residences, will feature seven mid-rise buildings with 65 apartments each. Future phases will include townhouses and ultra-luxury villas. A school developed in partnership with an international education provider will also be built on-site.
According to Aldar Group CEO Talal Al Dhiyebi, strong demand from local and international buyers underlines the strategic importance of Fahid Island as one of the largest mixed-use residential masterplans in Abu Dhabi. The project reflects the emirate's ambition to integrate wellness, sustainability, and modern infrastructure into urban living.
Fahid Island marks a significant step in redefining premium waterfront living in Abu Dhabi. The project is set to attract residents and investors looking for a well-integrated, sustainable community in a prime coastal location.
