Dubai's skyline shimmers as the Grand Hyatt opens its doors for one of the city's largest Oktoberfest celebrations. With traditional Bavarian music, hearty German cuisine, and an atmosphere full of cheer, this festival is a cultural fusion that promises a memorable experience. Join the festivities where Bavarian charm meets Middle Eastern elegance.

Dubai, Saturday evening. The sun sets over the skyline, casting a golden glow as guests in traditional Dirndls and Lederhosen arrive at the Grand Hyatt. The aroma of roasted chicken and freshly baked pretzels fills the air, laughter echoes through the tent – and then it comes: “O’zapft is!” – the keg is tapped!

Die Geissens Real Estate attended the grand opening as VIP guests, right by the stage. From the very first moment, it was clear: Bavarian joy of life meets Arabian hospitality. The Grand Hyatt Oktoberfest is more than a copy of Munich’s original – it’s an experience for all senses, a slice of Bavaria in the desert.

Music, Magic & Merrymaking

Once the first keg was tapped, the legendary Bavarian band “Die Kirchdorfer” lit up the night. With trumpets, tubas, and accordions, they had the crowd dancing, swaying, and singing along. Beer mugs clinked, the floor vibrated, and even Emiratis joined in with “Ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit.”

Between classic polkas and spontaneous dances, the energy was electric – just like in Munich’s Theresienwiese. “It’s like Munich moved to Dubai – but with better weather!” laughed one guest while raising his stein.

A Feast Worthy of Bavaria

The Grand Hyatt spared no effort in creating a feast for the senses:

  • Crispy pork knuckles and golden roasted chicken
  • Traditional white sausages with sweet mustard
  • Freshly baked pretzels and savory Obazda cheese spread
  • Kaiserschmarrn and apple strudel for dessert

Cold, freshly tapped Hofbräu beer flowed generously into steins. Guests from all over the world toasted together while the band kept the rhythm alive. By the time “Fliegerlied” started, the whole tent was on its feet.

Bavarian Tradition in the Emirates

This year, the Grand Hyatt Oktoberfest runs from October 9 to 26, 2025, every Thursday to Saturday from 7 PM to 2 AM, with a Bavarian Family Brunch every Sunday.

But it’s not the only place celebrating. Across Dubai, Oktoberfest has become a beloved tradition:

  • Ernst Biergarten at 25hours Hotel One Central (Sept 18 – Oct 26, 2025) with live bands and brunches.
  • Bavarian Beerhouse on Sheikh Zayed Road (Oct 21–25, 2025) featuring DJs and brass bands.
  • Crafty Fox at Jumeirah Golf Estates hosting Bavarian-themed weekends.

Once a local German tradition, Oktoberfest has become a global celebration of joy and culture. In Dubai, it unites expats, tourists, and locals alike – proving that tradition knows no borders.

A Night of Pure Joy

For Die Geissens Real Estate, being part of the opening night was a celebration of friendship and cultural connection. Laughter, music, and clinking steins filled the night – a reminder that joy is universal. For a few hours, Dubai shone in white and blue, with palm trees instead of alps, but the same warmth at heart.

Cheers – and see you next year at Oktoberfest Dubai!
