Opening in 2025 on Saadiyat Island, the Zayed National Museum will showcase the legacy of Sheikh Zayed through iconic architecture and curated exhibitions. A dedicated research fund also supports cultural heritage projects across the UAE.
The Zayed National Museum is set to become a cultural icon on Saadiyat Island and a powerful architectural tribute to the UAE’s founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Designed by Foster + Partners, its five soaring towers resemble falcon wings, symbolizing strength, vision, and heritage.
Inside, the museum will offer immersive exhibitions on Sheikh Zayed’s life, UAE history, sustainability, education, and cultural development.
In parallel with the upcoming opening, a AED 1 million research fund has been launched to support scholarly projects focused on documenting and preserving the UAE’s cultural heritage. Applications are open until July 14, 2025.
